Radio stations in the UK are regulated by law. The regulator is Ofcom, which awards licences and regulates content in accordance with the Broadcast Code.
Orchard FM works to operate within all of the conditions of its licence and the Code and welcomes comments about its output from listeners and advertisers.

News

News Bulletin schedule - details of when bulletins appear on Orchard Fm
Orchard FM broadcasts news bulletins on the hour between 0600 and 1800 on weekdays. These bulletins are live and contain a full mix of Somerset, national and world stories, along with sport and weather. At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on Orchard FM between 0700 and 1300 on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional national bulletins are broadcast on the hour at all other times, seven days a week.
During breakfast hours (Mon - Fri 0600 - 0900) we also broadcast news headlines at half past the hour.

Programme Automation
Non Stop Lunch show (Mon - Fri 1pm - 2pm) is the only automated programme on Orchard FM during weekday or weekend daytimes.

Local Programming (The amount of local programming per day produced by the station)

On weekdays, Orchard FM's breakfast show (6 - 10am), Non Stop Lunch (1pm - 2pm) and Drivetime show (2 -7pm), are produced locally at Orchard FM's Studio's in Taunton, Somerset.

The rest of the daily output is broadcast across “The One Network” from  various locations outside Somerset.

At weekends, the programme airing between 8am - midday is produced locally. The rest of the daily output is broadcast across “The One Network” from various locations outside Somerset.

Events / Charities support
Orchard FM operates it's own charity 'Orchard FM's Help A Somerset Child' which is tasked with raising money to help improve the lives of children and community groups within the Orchard FM broadcast area. 'Orchard FM's Help A Somerset Child' is an appeal run by GCap Charities, Registered Charity 10910657
